GENESIS 1:20

Then God said, “Let the water swarm with swimming creatures..."

Creating musky lures is hard work. Plain and simple. At the same time it's a lot of fun because of the creativity involved in determining shape and color, as well as the challenge of achieving symmetry and balance.

The most challenging aspect of making our Gen 1:20 Lures is mastering the symmetry piece. We don't use 3-D printers or computers to aid in our process; we rely on the good old-fashioned eyeball method to make sure the left side matches the right.

God's creation story is our inspiration, hence the name GEN 1:20 Lures. We can only imagine God's delight when he created the vast array of living creatures on this earth. Our creative abilities pale in comparison, but I believe God has given us all the gift of creativity in one form or another.

Our initial lures are hand carved, filed and sanded. It's tedious and requires great patience. When the lure design is finished to our satisfaction, we build the mold. We don't use plastic injection machines. Each one of our lures is hand poured with super strong lightweight resin. Weights and rattles are added, lures are airbrushed, life like eyes are applied, and the entire piece is completely coated with multiple layers of clear epoxy. Finally, rings and hooks are added to complete the process.

We are passionate about what we do. We hope you follow our progress as we roll out new lures and paint patterns. You can also visit us on Facebook.

Musky fishing is addicting. The sheer power of these monsters is amazing and after battling one you'll find yourself looking for that next fix! It's an adrenaline rush, and it's why we are obsessed with making the ultimate musky lures we couldn't find anywhere else.
